What I'm reading: karmic astrology books

I mentioned in a post yesterday that I went to one of my favorite new ages shops, the Pyramid of Enlightenment, but I did not mention that I picked up a snowflake obsidian stone (not pictured) & these two new books. I've decided to keep them with me at work because some days, like Fridays, I tend to have more down time. The book on the left, Have We Met Before?, is an astrological study guide to past times & places by signs. On the back of the book there is a guide that reads:

Aries: early Canaan, Palestine, Exodus of Moses, Arabic Nomads, Scottish Clan Life, Nazi Germany
Taurus: Farmers, Mediterranean Coast, Ancient Egypt, Amer-Indians, Near East, Herbalists, old Cathay
Gemini: Middle Ages in France, England & Germany, travel to the crusades, eastern caravans, prehistoric Australia, Age of Chivalry
Cancer: Pacific Islands, Lemuria, Easter Island, matriarchal societies
Leo: France during the Sun King, Norsemen & Vikings, Andes Mountains, pyramid builders of old Egypt
Virgo: Green Valley of upper Amazon River basin, Amazons, Aztecs, crusaders to Mecca, soldiers of Alexander the Great, northern India
Libra: Central and Southern India, classical Greece, city states of Venice & Florence, Southern Confederacy of the United States of America
Scorpio: Tartars, China, Amer-Indians of Western Plains, Greenland, Iceland, Turkey, North Africa, Moors
Sagittarius: Classical Japan, Spain, sea-faring races, early Phoenicians, ancient astronauts
Capricorn: Amer-Indians of Eastern North America, Sparta, Celtics, Druids
Aquarius: California Gold Rush Miners, fabled Atlantis, Alaska, Antarctic
Pisces: Sea of Galilee, Essene Communities, Ephrata in Penssylvania, ancient Madagascar, beginning of the Christian era, monasteries, convents, Roman Empire

I am particularly intrigued by the idea of reincarnation & souls recognizing each other in their new bodies. I feel like I have definitely experienced this with certain individuals in my life. Even if it is not true, I find it entertaining & enjoyable to read about.
I've thought about documenting more of what I'm reading here on the blog as well as giving mini astrology "lessons" because a few people have reached out to me, interested in learning more.

The second book, The Saturn Return, discusses the return of Saturn to the same degree and sign that it was at during the moment of your birth. This period marks a year of major developmental & karmic lessons which are very trying, but lifelong lessons & one will carry forward much more mature. Saturn is known as the "teacher" & "father" planet. Saturn's lessons are difficult to endure, but like a loving father, Saturn doesn't allow us to side step the issues, but rather he brings them forward & slowly, making sure that we don't miss any detail of the lesson(s) at hand. I'm excited to read this book too because my Saturn return is coming up! I feel confident in saying that my Saturn return won't feel too bad to me because I've already been surviving the other outer planets, Uranus & Pluto transits, since 2010/11. Pluto is unapologetically hard on a person & I've been told by fellow astrologers that the placement that its aspecting in my chart right now is a place it can only reach in an "old soul" & some never endure this transit. If you're interested to know more, I can write about Pluto & my experiences with him later. I've also been enduring (& still will for some time to come) Uranus, the planet of awakening, shock and change, liberation & crises to my stellium in Cancer and to my moon. *Sigh* It's been a rough ride, but with stones, plenty of meditation & creative outlets such as sewing, singing  & ranting here, I've been able to catch a few breaths before the tide comes back to take me back out. I know the universe is preparing me for something amazing. I'm being polished into the best version of me yet!
